Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Threlkeld.
Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started off being an overqualified criminology college grad from Chicago, Illinois who was in between steady work! I went back to school, studied cosmetology with a specific interest as an esthetician and manicurist. My first esthetician position was at a chain establishment here in cypress. I was working for minimum wages and decided to venture off and do my own thing! I had like four side gig jobs so I saved up enough to buy equipment and supplies and never looked back! Word of mouth and treating my client correctly is why I’m here today!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have had my ups and downs with this economy and the effects it’s had on my business. I struggle with Marketing and advertising just due to the costly nature of the business. I don’t give up and I keep it moving!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have an assortment of services! Ranging from facials, to waxing services, body contouring, permanent make up, and lash extensions! I specialize in acne treatments and facials. However, I gravitate more towards body contouring and enjoy the outcome/ results my clients receive. What sets me apart from others are the results you receive, the care I give and the passion that’s affiliated with my craft! My clients love it here!
What does success mean to you?
I defined success as someone who never gives up, someone who’s constantly working on themselves, and someone who’s thriving to do better! A person that’s not afraid to fail is a successful person, especially when they don’t let hiccups and life setbacks hold them down or back!
