Hi LaTasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started modeling following my freshman year of college after I was asked to join the women of KU’s swimsuit calendar. This, along with my career as a travel nurse, has allowed me to network and meet new people from different parts of the world. I used the money I’ve made from both jobs to fund my own body sculpting business. I’m also currently in the process of collaborating with a Dr. In order to add lip filler and IV therapy to my services.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not an easy journey as any entrepreneur would tell you. Investing in yourself is always risky. You have to fund your certification, legal fees, equipment and supplies, all before you have your first client. But I’ve learned to take it one day at a time and continue to build my brand
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business is a body sculpting service that offers laser lipo through cavitation, cellulite reduction and skin tightening, as well as breast and butt lift through vacuum and fat transfer. I plan on adding lip filler services, IV therapy, and teeth whitening to my menu within the next few months. I really focus on the client’s needs/goals for their bodies. All services can be customized in order to fit the clients’ needs for each session!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One thing I’ve learned is to not compare my success or profit to others around me. Instead of rushing to feel like I need to hit a certain quota each week. I focus on making sure my clients are happy and getting results.
