Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Burgdorf.
Hi Tiffany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had a love for everything related to beauty. When I was in high school, I was often told I’d be a great makeup artist or that I’d do well working in the fashion and beauty industry, but I never thought I had what it took to stand out. I was about 27 when I finally made the decision to step foot into the beauty world! I enrolled myself in the cosmetology school at Houston Community College. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I wish I had done it sooner! It started with my obsession with lash extensions, but now my passion has grown to include brow shaping services and skin care treatments.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing good is ever easy! Working for yourself isn’t always as glamorous as it may seem on social media. There’s so much more to it than making your own schedule and performing the services you want to do. Sure those are perks, but there are also a lot of logistics that need to be sorted out first. There was also the struggle with balancing home life and work in the beginning. Luckily I have a very supportive husband, Matt, and a small group of friends in the industry that guides me through any obstacles.

I had the wonderful opportunity to help my friend, Homer Saenz, build out a studio salon as an extension of 713 Tattoo Parlour. 713 Beauty Bar is located behind the tattoo shop that offers cosmetic tattooing as well as my esthetic services. I specialize in lash extensions, facial treatments, and brow lamination and tinting.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is my happiness. The best version of you is a happy you! It took me years to finally put myself first and to take charge of living the life I want. My family means the world to me, and I’m now able to spend quality time with my husband and kids! We love camping because it’s our great escape from reality and a chance to recharge.
