Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Ulrich.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story begins with my love for dogs. I started volunteering at local rescue groups and I took on the role of taking photos of the dogs who needed to find a home. It was the most amazing feeling to see interest in the dogs just from a smiling photo. That’s when I started up my dog’s Instagram. I love photographing the loving energy dogs naturally give off.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been a very smooth road. The animal community is a supportive, loving and expressive group. I’m very thankful for all the friends I’ve made along the way!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work at a preschool in the Houston area. It’s an absolute joy and although it’s not in the animal field, I have a profound love for both!
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I think you should never be afraid to reach out. I’ve heard such amazing stories just reaching out to other friends on my Instagram.
