Life & Work with God Body Bingo of Acres Homes

Today we’d like to introduce you to God Body Bingo.

Hi Bingo, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been writing and recording songs since I was as young as 12 years old. However, I’ve been honing my craft for a long time I consider 2018 the beginning of my career as God Body Bingo. Influences from my family, environment, and many people who I’ve been blessed to come across have helped shape who I am as both a person and an artist. Since 2018 I’ve released multiple singles and EPs, and most notably, my debut album “Off The Books” in 2021.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t think any journey has a smooth road paved ahead of it, and mine is no different. I’ve lost money, time, and people along my path. The biggest struggle I’ve gone through was losing my father in June 2021. He was my introduction to the music I love and create today, and his loss made me contemplate giving up, but ultimately motivated me to go even further and be even better.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a recording artist, performer and songwriter who creates hip-hop/rap music. I’m known for my lyricism, beat selection, powerful voice, and commanding stage presence. I’m most proud of my integrity and consistency with how I carry myself as a professional in every situation and I believe my attention to detail and the substance in my art is what separates me from my contemporaries.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was my first time recording a verse. One of my cousins had begun making music and was working on a song when I came to visit him. At only 12 years old no one in my family knew I could rap or write lyrics so when I wrote a verse and recorded, I shocked everybody. The thrill I got from hearing myself on the microphone is one of the things that still keep me going to this day.
