Today we’d like to introduce you to Papi Sosa.
Hi Papi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been making music all my life but in high school is when I learned about the importance of food and how a majority of the everyday processed foods that we as Americans (mainly low-income people of color in marginalized communities) incorporate into our diets were leaving people unfit, unhealthy, and unhappy. That’s when I started to educate myself about eating organic, all natural foods and living a healthy lifestyle. Now after years of research and finding a legitimate source of Seamoss and other alkaline herbs, I finally started my natural/herbal supplement business and found a way to incorporate It with my music and vice versa.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
As an independent artist and a self-made entrepreneur, nothing I have now was handed to me. I did everything myself 100%, but I was blessed to have genuine people by my side who believed in what I did and supported me. If it wasn’t for all the people God put in my life, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I sacrificed everything and struggled a lot to be able to be where I’m at now, and there might be more along the way but life is a gamble and that’s just the risk I’m willing to take to do what I and other people as well believe in.

As an independent artist, I couldn’t have done it without the collective I’m apart of, “Lucid Vivid Dreams” (LVD) Studios. Founded by “Slow Life”, who is the most talented producer/artist I’ve met in my life and has worked with a lot of household names here in Texas. We met through a mutual friend, another artist from LVD, “Ro Lee” and ever since then have done nothing but establish our own sound and music independently. I would always talk about Dr. Sebi in my music before he got popular from Nipsey Hussle and have been vegan for years now so I came to a point where I realized that I should start a business that aligns with my beliefs and to begin selling and educating people about these special herbs I was learning about that were extremely beneficial to our health and well-being. I also found out how there was a lot of low-quality Seamoss being sold and a lot of misinformation in the Seamoss market due to it being a new product that hasn’t been capitalized on yet.
