Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Navar.
Patricia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I worked for corporate America 20 plus years and wasted countless hours in Houston traffic. Despite my many raises and promotions, I could no longer handle the complacency of Corporate America and knew it was time for a change. In 1997, I completed all courses to obtain my real estate license, however, after the market crash of 2008, I was reluctant to pursue a real estate career. In 2014, I took a leap of faith, put in my two week notice and decided to pursue real estate full-time. It is the best decision I have ever made.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Real Estate is not for everyone, you have to build your business. Definitely not a smooth road. My first year, I was lucky if I had one transaction every 3-4 months. Thank God for my support team (husband and daughters) who believed in me. Some of the struggles include, working countless hours with no pay.
Please tell us about Patricia Navar – JLA Realty.
I specialize in informing both sellers/buyers of real estate market. I provide excellent communication, negotiation and management skills in combination with in-depth knowledge of the real estate market in Northeast Houston, East Houston, Baytown, Crosby, Dayton, The Woodlands, Conroe, Katy, and surrounding areas. Therefore, whether it’s a Suburban Community, Country Home, Acreage or Lake Front Property. I’m there to assist my clients with the entire process.
I am proud to know that I have helped my clients achieve a milestone in their lives with one of the biggest investments leaving such an impact, that their referrals are the reason my business has flourished.
The thing that sets me apart from others, is that my clients immediately become friends. I remind them that I have been in their shoes and know what it is like not to understand the process. I ensure my clients comprehend the process and make myself available 24/7. My Friday & Saturday nights, are usually spent at the office working, either preparing for Open Houses, replying to emails, enhancing my technology skills, searching for ways to better serve my clients.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite childhood memories is when the local newspaper visited my gym class to take some photos of the best skipping ropers and they choose me!
