Hidden Gems: Meet Laura G. Rosilez of Texas Party Box

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura G. Rosilez.

Hi Laura, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, my name is Laura, mother to 3 and an entrepreneur. I am the founder and owner of Texas Party Box! We are an Event planning company that thrives with helping others bring their dreams to life for their Special day.

Our motto is “There is ALWAYS something to celebrate.”

Event planning has been a part of my life since 2002 when my oldest daughter was turning one.

Over the years, my love and passion for creating all things fun has evolved and grown, which brings me to where I am today. TPB is one of my many dreams finally coming true. The company started from a conversation with a friend that believed I could create something special for her son’s high school graduation in 2020. It quickly turned into a side gig for me for almost two years. I’m THRILLED to share that I am now following my passion that started in 2002 and I’m now full time with the company. TPB has given me a sense of pure happiness and joy from meeting with clients, creating a game plan for their special day to a sketch, installing and making it come to life and finally capturing videos when completed.

Every time I see the end result, I am blown away by how much happiness and love I get to be a part of. Over the years, I’ve had great mentors encouraging me to chase after this dream and I’ll forever be grateful for that.

With TPB being a small business, my 3 children have stepped up in a big way to help this dream of mine unfold. They bring an extra pop to the company.

Growing this company from a small idea in my mind into what it is now is something I am so proud of. I have plans to expand in many ways, but l have learned it takes prayer, time and strength.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No way has it been smooth, it’s bumpier than the 610 loop in Houston. One thing I have had to learn is to balance motherhood and business life. Because you see having a business, you may think you work for yourself; however, you work for everyone else and then some. So, when you add in three involved teenagers that want you there for all the things its challenging. I think that has been the hardest thing to juggle.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Texas Party Box is the one stop shop when it comes to event planning and more! We specialize in celebrating the occasion that you want to keep memorable. We can provide that balloon backdrop that is different than the rest. The Unique thing about TPB is that we never repeat the same event, everything is created just for our clients.

Something I am most proud of is the culture that we are creating for Texas Party Box, we’re a family company and believe that we can all bring something special to the business. Our brand is filled with happiness from start to finish.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Something I thoroughly believe in is what you read is what will be stored in your brain. So, I fill my shelves with Positive self-help books, and Youtube videos on a daily. This has ALWAYS been for me for over 10 years now, it’s usually how I start my morning. I will pull up a motivational video and through my workout, I will replay and capture words to keep with me all day.
