Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, not all. I got locked up along the way, and lost family and friends that didn’t have my best interests at heart. Went broke and homeless a few times, and many times, I question myself if am I doing the right thing or not.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about PulseTheMagazine and ForTheHMagazine?
Magazine publication, event coverage, red carpet premieres, podcast for in-person interviews, for the culture, and female entrepreneurs awards. What set’s us apart are my teammates at Homestead Slim, SisiwiththeSauce, Lil Ron, Richard (B.P.), and a few others. We have our own individual identities of business entities, but we still move as one unit daily to get the job done. I’m most proud of doing this for y’all.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Well, since 2013 till now, everything has been more digital than print since they’re trying to get or do away with paperwork. So in the next 5-10, myself and teammates should have our own proclamation days in Houston, Texas, Presidential Awards honored, and a key to the city. Besides that diversify the PulseTheMagazine portfolio with merch, beverages, and 10-year Anniversary Party. ForTheHMagazine continues to tell the story of Houstonians that’s from the city and know the culture to plant their feet in this soil for history.
