Dr. Tasha Roberts Jnofinn, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC (Dr. Tasha) is the founder of ActIVate Drip Spa who owns 100% of the company as a minority and woman-owned business. She is the lead driving force of the company. She is the mother of three beautiful children: a 23-year-old daughter, a two-year-old daughter, and a one-year-old son. Dr. Tasha had her first child at the age of 14, 21 years later, she decided to start over. So many people said she would be a teenage dropout, but guess what? She is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has over 15 years of experience. Recently, her son, Prince, was diagnosed with a rare genetic neuromuscular disorder called Glycogen Storage Disease X (GSD X). Only 50 people in the world have been diagnosed. There is limited information on GSD X, and he is the youngest to be diagnosed. GSD X limits his ability to perform anything too strenuous, which could lead to rhabdomyolysis (when damaged muscle tissue releases its proteins and electrolytes into the bloodstream, affecting the heart and kidneys). One of the primary treatments is IV hydration. Dr. Tasha decided to research ways to always have the resources needed to care for him. She decided to create her own IV hydration business in his honor, called ActIVate Drip Spa. Whenever he needs fluids, we ActIVate his system by rehydrating, refueling, and recovering his health and wellness needs. Prince may have multiple issues in his lifetime, and Dr. Tasha is trying to facilitate ways that will not limit him. He may not be able to play sports or interact like normal kids, so normalizing daily activities to prevent multiple hospital stays was her goal. Dr. Tasha’s mission is to help clients feel and look their very best. She originally attended Houston Community College and then furthered her education at Midwestern State University, in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2007. While working in various intensive care units and serving as a mentor, charge nurse, educator, and member of the shared governance committee, magnet committee, and patient safety committee, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing & Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Texas Woman’s University. Dr. Tasha became a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed in Texas. Dr. Tasha is a self-motivated professional leader with a commitment to providing quality care, Tasha is highly adaptive, flexible, and efficient in working with diverse patient populations as well as the entire healthcare team. Dr. Tasha has received numerous awards including the Good Samaritan Excellence of Nursing Award, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society Award, DNP Student of Excellence, Preceptor of the Year for Houston Methodist Hospital, Dominica Houston Association Medical Mission Humanitarian Award, and Commonwealth of Dominica Ministry of Health Humanitarian Award. Dr. Tasha has worked in various specialties and now has made her focus on health, wellness, and aesthetics.
