Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmin Juarez.
Hi Jazmin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed baking! In September 2019 my maternity leave at my previous corporate job was aligned with layoffs due to the company dissolving. Was the perfect start to being a full-time stay-at-home mom. After my son (Abraham) turned 1, I was ready to get back to work again. By this time baking was second nature to me! I was constantly baking cookies for friends and family. My sister-in-law Becca introduced me to the world of decorated sugar cookies. After that, I was hooked! I spent a solid 2 weeks working on recipes and tweaking things to the way I like to work. Once I felt like I had a solid product, I went all in and launched my business. So far the best decision I have ever made!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Business-wise, I feel like it has gone relatively smooth! I am incredibly grateful for all of the clients that have stuck with me! I have to say finding work and home balance would be the most difficult part of being a SAHM/Small business owner.
It’s stressful but we are finding balance!

I am a local Cookie Lady! I specialize in decorated cookies as well as various flavors of drop cookies (specifically my salted chocolate chip cookies). The growth my company has had in such a short time would be what I am most proud of. There are so many talented women (some men) in the business, I am just so thankful to be part of the community.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
In my business, I feel lucky to have people try my product and enjoy it enough to spread the word and really get my name out there. Such a blessing.
