Life & Work with Muna Odeh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Muna Odeh.

Hi Muna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a mom of 3 sons who work in the field of engineering In Houston ( AECOM & JACOPS) 3 rd at Hcc engineering school and wife of a consultant engineer. We reached the USA with an investment visa in 2016 and settled with my family for the last 5 years. From day one, I join Hcc college studying an aesthetician major for 2 semesters, graduate with GPA of 4, and apply for Tx licensed aesthetician, passing for first time. I worked as a private swimming instructor at wise gym and try to rent a room with them offering facials for a couple of months, they closed so I transferred my booth to Montrose, I didn’t have a chance at this location for a couple of months, new face and no traffic for me didn’t work with me when the pandemic started, so I closed it and kept 2 years at my house. I try to manage at the end of this year a new location at 1300 W Sam Houston Pkwy S, 100TKO suites hub of the business, so I’m starting my journey again from this moment, so my dreams come true in a country that gives opportunity and challenge to make a difference.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Actually, it was a hard path I faced during my journey, it was a new transfer far away from our original family, new atmosphere but I could manage it first I settle I stand out of my comfort zone and decide to study and challenge my self with riding long distance for my college on the east and my son school on another side of west loop and I challenge my colleagues studying hard and able to graduate with high score, language minor for me it’s my second language and I could communicate well with my friends, other struggles change to a new location within 5 years 3 times, Time management to establish new clients, marketing, and finance issues so I start from my small booth and gradually I’m planning to escalate in future.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
