Hi Kinshasa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello! My name is Shasa LaRae and I am the owner and creator of Glametix/laSH pla’ line. I STARTED my business in 2020 because I wanted something for myself and to make a change in people’s lives who I came across. I AM a Nurse Assistant by trade so I love to serve and help people. As time went on, I started to really dive into the entrepreneur side of things, for example going to local workshops and events in my hometown to keep me sharp on my skills outside of just selling a product. I am the oldest of 4 and I am very honored and happy I started my small business because I am the 1st to have my own small business and as time goes on to expand my business legacy. O am also expanding my business by taking a lash tach course and coming out with an eyecream line that caters to all to help tighten the skin and brighten around the eye with other health benefits and additives. As of today, I am continuing to work hard to expose my brand and encourage upcoming entrepreneurs.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the obstacles and challenges can be consistency and deciding especially when the business hits a dry spot and there is no traffic. In those moments you have to keep the faith and keep WORKING because your business can fail if you don’t.
I also feel that marketing can be a challenge only because this is something that takes a creative mindset to do and it’s literally an everyday thing… I am very creative but at times I get really tired. You have to mentally talk and encourage yourself to keep going and it will work out in the long run.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I SaLe LuXury strip lashes. I also will be selling the glametix eyecream which will launch sometime this year and more to come. This brand is bigger than Mr and you will see.

Starting my business, I had the pleasure of working with @itstheak. She is a digital/graphic designer and she was the first lady to give my client a spotlight feature! Collating with her was great because not only was this the first time I was able to let a bigger audience know who I was bt she also made sure that my social Media was on point. I WILL be forever grateful for her giving me a chance to shine.
