Meet Joe Whit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Whit.

Hi Joe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off as a musician playing drums as a little boy. Then moved to bass guitar at the age of 12. I traveled the world for years performing gospel and zydeco music. With many different artists. Since then I’ve started my own label called WhitStyle Entertainment, serving people with great live music and entertainment.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. I’m the type of person that thinks too much sometimes or should I say I second guess myself a lot. So to be honest I’m kind of my hardest critic, but my good talent is confirmed by the people. That’s what makes the road more smooth for me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I try to keep my hands on a few things. Such as trucking. I’m currently building a trucking company called PPD. To answer the question of what I do…I am a full-time musician, producer, artist, and entertainer. I’m most proud of the way I raise and interact with my kids. They are my world and the reason I’m doing all of this. I’m set apart simply because of my energy on stage and the performances I give to whoever I’m performing with.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For all the ones that’s just starting out…make sure music is something that you really want to do. Talk to God about it, then start practicing to be the greatest YOU. I wish I knew more about real life when I was younger. More about reality. I was raised in the church so I came up under most spiritual teachings. I love God and always will but the way some people perceive His word is a little sideways to me.
