Check Out Zineb Guezri’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zineb Guezri.

Hi Zineb, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Zineb, you can call me Zeno, I am a Registered Nurse working at the Texas children’s Hospital. I came to the USA 11 years ago I was 17 when I first started my ESOL classes with a goal to be a nurse. Struggling with the culture and the language Houston is a melting pot where you can adapt easily to it. Houston is a very big city, you can be lost, the food, the parks, the people, all of that made me think that I can be a guide through Instagram for the locals and also the visitors.

Finally, a month ago I started an Instagram page called @youroutdoorguideZeno. Travel with me; where I showed so far places from Houston and Austin and I’m looking forward to succeeding in making my page the guide for the food and places to visit in Houston and out of Houston. Becoming a Registered Nurse 3 years ago, which is one of the hardest programs, made me believe that anything can be done if you have a strong will.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far I started my page in November 2022. Tried to learn how to post pictures and reels as much as I can with good lighting and content, I can say I’m still learning and still need support.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Registered Nurse my background is in health and nursing, however, I traveled a lot during the last few years, I went to France last year and to Morocco this year and have been to Mexico, England, Spain, and planning to go this year to Turkey and Italy.

Traveling made me have an eye for the dos and don’ts while visiting a country you are not originally from also made me want to share my experience with people who are interested to know about other cultures and willing to visit if they have a chance. I am proud that I can speak 3 languages Arabic French and English and I can handle a little Spanish as well.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
I would say start don’t wait, do it and you will learn and improve.
