Hi Bernadette, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
For as long as I can remember I have loved makeup. During college, I worked as a makeup artist, but after graduation, I left the profession to pursue my degree in Music Education. In 2019, I decided to reconnect with my love of makeup. After a few months of posting makeup looks online and doing my friend’s makeup for special occasions I created Makeup By Beauty Bee, LLC.
In 2022, I launched my very own makeup and body care line. I wanted to create high-quality products addressing the needs of myself and my clients.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are times when the road is not smooth. Staying up to speed with changing technology, trends, marketing, and creating products can be very difficult when you are running a business by yourself. It can be very challenging to run every aspect of the business, so it is important to have resources and manage your time wisely.

Makeup By Beauty Bee also offers makeup services in the Houston area, including glam sessions for events and weddings.
I am most proud that Makeup By Beauty Bee is growing and expanding. Makeup By Beauty Bee products are now in a brick-and-mortar store in Pearland, TX called Neri Hair Studio. Makeup By Beauty Bee makeup services can be scheduled at Blinx Lash Studio, in League City, TX.
What sets Makeup By Beauty Bee apart is the passion behind the brand. The brand and company were created out of a devastating loss and the journey to find me and my passion. Makeup By Beauty Bee helped me find joy again and everything I do is to bring joy to others.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In 5-10 years, I see the beauty industry continuing to grow exponentially. I believe there will be a shift in customers’ interest in clean beauty and the support of smaller businesses.
