Meet Linda Duarte of La Patrona Mobile Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Duarte.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Linda Duarte 38 years old owner of La Patrona Mobile Bar. I started my small business in June 2022 after resigning from my job in February; at that time I was battling PTSD and depression, trying my best to push myself out of feeling this way. After 18 years in the Construction industry, I wanted to do something different, build a reputation for myself, create a brand, work hard, and grow my client tell. I would make drinks for my guest and I when we had gatherings, so many would tell me you need to be my own boss. Start a business making drinks, with your personality, ambition, and drive you would be amazing! So I took that leap and decided to give it a try! I booked my 1st party in July 2022 that night I told myself “you got this Linda” this is where your heart is at. I enjoy meeting new people, and love to dance, smile and laugh. I continued to book events from birthdays, baby showers, Pop Up events to Company Christmas Parties.

I just hit 1k followers on Instagram and continue to grow. Book many more events to make my specialty drinks from Palomas, Margaritas, Pickles & Mexican Candy shots with my very own Watermelon & Pickle Rim paste I make and sell as well. I value each client, give all my clients great respect, provide a great experience for them, and go above & beyond. My ambition, heart, and great customer service skills have put me in the position I am in today, so if you are in need of a Licensed Bartender, please feel free to reach out and I will be happy to be a part of your event and make it memorable.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy business to run alone, and work back-to-back events alone.

That is my goal this year to increase my bookings and hire a great Bartending Staff. It’s a lot of work, dedication, sweat, and tears. At the end of each event, seeing my customers completely happy, compliments, returning clients, and word-of-mouth referrals bring me joy and give me a lot of pride in the service I provide!

We’ve been impressed with La Patrona Mobile Bar, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Licensed Bartender for Houston and surrounding areas.

I offer Mobile Bartending with packages starting at 3hr minimum and then an hourly rate (Full Bar set up) cups and garnishments included. Customize each menu for the event. I am proud of myself and how far I’ve come in the bartending industry.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Born and raised in the Northside of Houston and I love my city! I enjoy the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and look forward to the Cook-off every year.
