Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Soulant.
Hi Robin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
As a communications major at Baylor University, media has always been a passion of mine. After graduating, I quickly became part of the Houston advertising world working with many well-known large local companies as a media buyer. I spent 10 years on the agency side before branching out on my own in 2011 as Wildfire Media. It started as a traditional media buying company, and I worked with several smaller local agencies and companies placing their traditional media needs.
Over time, and with the impact of Covid, the social media marketing world exploded. With the market evolving, Wildfire evolved with it. Voila! Now my focus is on helping small businesses engage and grow with social media strategy and content. It’s best to manage a brand and watch it grow to translate traditional branding strategies through social media management. I love what I do!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Starting a business always takes resilience and grit! Struggles are a byproduct of growth. The struggles I’ve had are mostly circumstantial. Covid was a huge struggle because I couldn’t network as I had before. Keeping up with the ever-changing social media algorithms has also been challenging at times. In addition, I’ve found that my client’s content is always a priority over my own, as it should be!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wildfire specializes in social media strategy and management. I offer 3 tiered packages based on how involved the client needs me to be in their social media. I can do anything from a low-level strategy consultation package to a mid-level strategy package with content creation, or a very high-level package where I run the social media accounts for my clients. Wildfire also offers A la Carte options with brand kits, content creation, and strategy consultation.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My recipe for success has been a combo of my social media marketing and referral systems. I am in a women’s networking group that has been so amazing about referring me to colleagues and other small business owners.
