Hidden Gems: Meet Aisha Young of Premiere Service Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Young.

Hi Aisha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
During the pandemic, a group of like-minded friends was discussing varying business opportunities. Given the state of the country at that time, most people were working out of their homes, and we were getting inquiries about whether we knew any reputable cleaning companies, specifically minority-owned businesses.

Unfortunately, none of us knew any so we thought why not start one to meet that demand? In July 2020, we created a minority woman-owned cleaning service and spent the next year researching, educating ourselves, and learning from others on how to build and run a cleaning business. Premiere Service Solutions was officially launched on December 1, 2021.

Since we launched, we have grown the business to include both residential and commercial cleaning services, along with a host of additional services that include carpet cleaning, pressure washing, and mobile car detailing, which makes Premiere Service Solutions a one-stop shop! As the business continues to grow, we are set to expand our service offerings and become Houston’s premiere service provider!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
With any start-up the road is rarely completely smooth; however, we do believe we have been able to avoid some major pitfalls by taking that year and a half to immerse ourselves in the business, take training courses, and welcome the mentorship of others who are also entrepreneurs.

We have encountered some struggles specifically with identifying and retaining reliable, experienced, and dedicated workers who are truly passionate about cleaning and have the same high standards and customer-service focus as we do. Unfortunately, the workforce has changed and we have run into a lot of individuals who are looking for a quick paycheck, but are not willing to provide superior service.  With that being said, we have been very lucky to find a great core group of staff cleaners who match our standard of customer service and likewise take pride in their work.

As new business owners, we have also had to learn to traverse through running a customer-service-driven business and learn that every customer is unique in and of themselves and that what works for one, may not work for another and learning to pivot in those circumstances is essential and can be challenging at times.  Fortunately for us, the majority of our customers, have been very happy as it relates to the overall experience they received from our business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Premiere Service Solutions?
As a residential and commercial cleaning business, our customers are primarily individuals with residences (whether it is an apartment, townhome, condo, or house), Airbnb/vacation rental owners, and small businesses, including, but not limited to, gyms, yoga studios, daycares, salons/barbershops, commercial offices, and retail shops. Cleanliness and order are essential in maintaining a peaceful home and are a necessity for businesses that serve the general public.

Our services are designed to specifically meet each individual and/or business’ needs concerning maintaining a clean environment to live in and work from. Because each person and business is unique in those needs, we can customize cleaning packages to meet our customers’ request.

From first-time moms to remote workers to commercial business offices, our cleaning services help take the burden off of our customers so they can spend time focusing on family, work, or other aspects of life rather than the sometimes daunting task of cleaning an entire home or office regularly. We have an expanded our service territory to include the Greater Houston Metropolitan area – anywhere in Houston proper and 45 minutes out.

Additionally, as we are growing our business, we have taken steps to position ourselves as a one-stop shop to further assist our customers in their daily work/home balance including, but not limited to, carpet cleaning, pressure washing, and mobile car wash services. We have plans to expand our service offering to also include additional services such as home organizing and laundry delivery services, among others.

Our goal is to have a brand that truly sets us apart as a premier service-based company. We pride ourselves in offering a wide variety of cleaning services at affordable prices, coupled with the ease of online booking, instant quotes, superior customer service, and a pleasant overall experience.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
Several people are credited with helping us get started, stay in business, and look to the future. In no particular order, after first coming up with the idea to even start the business, that same group of sister-friends has truly been a great circle of support. Even though only two of us are managing the business, each of those ladies has contributed to the business whether it be through investment capital, as customers or referral partners, boots on the ground, and just overall emotional support.

Their unyielding backing has truly helped keep us afloat. In addition, our families have been constant cheerleaders and advocates for us. Even when times get hard or we face an uphill battle, our families have continued to have our backs and keep pushing us forward. We also are a great deal of gratitude to the couple that set the stage and offered training courses and mentorship on starting and running a cleaning business.

They are a Dallas-based family that set the blueprint for how to run a successful cleaning business and their continued sharing of knowledge has been very inspirational and immensely helpful along this journey. Then there are a host of friends and various networks who have continued to be a source of motivation and continuous support through patronizing the business and sharing with others that have helped keep us in business and looking to the future.

All this would not be possible without our faith in God, the support of our customers, and the hard work of our cleaners and we do not take any of it for granted. We are still relatively new and hope to have a long successful road ahead, but even where we are today is a blessing and we are truly grateful.
