Inspiring Conversations with Yomairi Adrian of Blooming Soul

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yomairi Adrian.

Hi Yomairi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Blooming Soul in 2018 as a way to pour back into myself, I was not feeling my best emotionally, and it was so therapeutic to make candles. I’m a writer, so I thought pairing the candles with motivational sayings was very fitting for what I needed in that time. From just making candles, I grew to create email-guided “self-love challenges” the first one launched February 2019, 500 people signed up, and 1 person requested I had a live event to embody all the work we had been doing virtually. So, I did, and that brought Blooming Soul into having social events that allowed people to pour into their personal growth, to be around like-minded people that wanted to heal and live life in alignment with their desired results. Today in 2023, I have opened my first wellness studio in the Bronx. It’s a very intimate space that allows our guest to have a place for meditation, journaling, candle-making classes, bouquet-making classes, and many other things that nourish the mind, move the body and guide their soul. Through the years, Blooming Soul has BLOOMED, and I know things will continue to expand, but the intention of the company remains from the very beginning, to provide others with a space to Bloom from within and prioritize their relationship with themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. Being a business owner has come with many struggles, lessons, sacrifices, and even losses. For starters, when I started doing events, I was 24 and lived with my mom and decided I needed an office/work room more than I needed a bedroom, so I threw out my bed and shared a room with my mom for over a year to be able to have the space for my business. As the business grew, I needed to make choices of staying out of hangouts with friends and family to do business things. Grew apart from many of my friendships because we were no longer in the same mental space or looking for the same things in life. I have worked many jobs to help sustain myself and the business but have also had years where I fully dedicated to the business and had fear of it not being enough. Even with all the obstacles and turbulences I’ve experienced in this journey, I am a better woman, a better human because of them.

As you know, we’re big fans of Blooming Soul. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
