Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Hello. I started my journey in 2019 where I started working for an actual teeth whitening company in Downtown Houston. I was unable to continue working at this company due to just having a baby. I fell in love with the work instantly. I decided that I wanted to make my own business whitening people’s teeth. I enjoyed the reactions from clients after their session and I felt this in my heart is what I was meant to do so I studied and got certified. I quickly did paperwork to register my business and with my hard-earned money started buying all my equipment. I put myself out there on Yelp and Google as a mobile teeth whitening specialist and finally started receiving phone calls from clients. Still to this day I walk door to door in neighborhoods and pass out my cards. I’m determined and inspired to make my business flourish every day! It feels great to spend time it’s my family and do what I love! I’m never giving up and the next step is to open my building in the future!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Any new journey that you set on is always going to have its bumps in the road. Nothing is perfect, but you keep going. My struggles are having some slow days or even weeks, but I still fight through it and know that is what to expect in business. I don’t take it personally. I just brainstorm and switch up the way I market to potential clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of Starks Teeth Whitening. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is mobile teeth whitening. I am a teeth whitening specialist where I will come to your home, office, or any get-together you may be having. I’m known for my great teeth whitening skills of course but also the knowledge that I give to my clients and how I have the utmost respect for people. What sets me apart from others if I am mobile, a women-owned business, and a black-owned business. I started my business organically and with the help of the Lord. I’m proud of myself for starting my business and sticking to. I’m staying true to myself and my brand. Aside from teeth whitening I also do Noninvasive body contouring, stretch mark/scar camouflage, and eyebrow lamination. I do sell whitening foam toothpaste and teeth-whitening touch-up pens. My business was made to cater to you.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The qualities or characteristics that are important to your success are you should conduct your business with class and integrity, treat people with respect always, keep a smile on your face, and like my late brother used to always say is to stay humble. Be happy and blessed every day that you wake up knowing in some sort of way you can make and please someone’s day.
