Inspiring Conversations with Habeeb Ayangbade of Beebz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Habeeb Ayangbade.

Hi Habeeb, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, have always wanted to own a company. Firstly, before starting my company, I went to school to get my BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Prairie View A&M university just to have that formal education because I’m an advocate that believes so much in continuous learning. When I learn I tend to grow, and when I grow, it becomes so easy for me to measure my success and growth. I enjoy solving problems, and I like to think critically because the more I think the easier it becomes for me to come up with a solution to a problem and that is what defines me. However, I started my company based on my strength of enjoying solving problems. My critical thinking skills enabled me to build a mobile application called BeebzRide. BeebzRide is an application for long-distance (Cities to Cities) connecting riders and drivers heading to the same city. Lastly, I’m still implementing the same philosophy I started with to get my company to where it at today.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing comes easily in life. So, the road has been tough and rough, but no matter how rough the road can be, the destination matters the most. One of the challenges I have faced so far was customer acquisition because acquiring more users has not been easy.

We’ve been impressed with Beebz, Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Beebz, Inc. is a long-distance rideshare company that connects riders and drivers heading to the same city. We’re like Uber but for longer distances. The company has a mobile application called BeebzRide. On the app, riders can book a trip and choose a pickup location closer to them and a drop-off location closer to their final destination. The company uses Minivans to transport riders from city to city (Houston to Dallas), which is more convenient, comfortable, and safer than long buses like Flixbus and Greyhound for the same price. For example, if a rider books a seat on greyhound or Flixbus, assuming the rider lives in Sugarland, Texas, or Richmond, Texas, the rider needs to take Uber or Lyft to the bus station, which is an additional cost. If the same rider books a seat with our company, we have pickup stations in Richmond, Texas, and Sugarland, Texas which help the rider save the money of taking uber to the bus station in Downtown Houston. So, no matter where the riders are booking from, we guaranteed closer pickup stations from their current location and closer drop-off stations to their final destination with a flat rate trip fare of $40 per seat. What sets our company apart from others is the ability to offer closer pick-up stations for the riders and closer drop-off stations to the rider’s final destination. Also, the company provides more sustainable mobility, which is comfortable, safer, and more convenient than the others because we are using Minivans, and based on our policy, we only allow 5 riders per trip which means every rider gets to have a window seat, more space, and enough legroom. The service that we are offering as a company is safe because we hire our drivers based on their driving experience, and we run a background check for every driver that drives on our platform because we take the safety of the riders seriously.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Consistency is the key to our success as a company because having the ability to stay consistence despite all the obstacles was a game changer for us.

Pricing:

  • Houston to Dallas $40 a seat
  • Dallas to Houston $40 a seat
