Hi Quinline, so great to have you join us again. For folks who might have missed our earlier conversations, can you please take a minute to briefly introduce yourself?

My Name is Quinline L. Olukoya and I am a Black BeautyPreneur from the Great State of Texas. I am the CEO/Creator/Founder of The House Of Asmara Dior International, Llc a Fabrics, Beauty, Fashion, and Interior Design Enterprise. Our Company house 5 Brands { Asmara Dior | Asmara Dior Cosmetics | Asmara Atris Dior | Asmara Dior & Co | Asmara Dior Collection }. Our Company is a Small Business Venture Started in Katy, Tx in 2016. Though Our Company has endured various challenges throughout the years we are still pushing through.
My Beauty Story began when I was a young girl trying to figure out what my true destiny in life was. I’ve always had that Entrepreneur Spirit within me no doubt about that. But I didn’t really find out my destiny until I became an adult. But it was staring me in the face since I was a child.
My Passion was to pursue a Career that will define who I am as a woman both on the inside, and out. My purpose is to Influence other women to pursue their visions and dreams. Most of all to know how beautiful and powerful they are. Many of us don’t know our worth and value. My Dream is to create Natural Skincare Products that are safe and healthy for my Customer’s Skin. This will help women to look and be their natural selves in a much healthier way.
Let me share with you what I meant by this statement “Staring Me In The Face Since I Was A Child.” When I was around the tender age of 8 my mother started her Journey toward a Career in Cosmetology. She attended “Espanolas Beauty College” a Historical Black Beauty College located in Houston Third Ward area. Espanolas Beauty College has a Historical Black Beauty College Legacy like that of Franklin Beauty College.
I believe that I followed in my Mother’s footsteps. Basically, my mother and the other Cosmetology Students would all bring their daughters to the Beauty College. That is so they could practice on our heads. Lolzzz!!! We received a free hair wash and styling of our choice once per week. But we also had the chance to peek in on our mothers while they were in class and run around the Beauty College and play. It was quite an experience, to say the least, because they had many beauty and fashion events at the Beauty College.
What did you like best about the Beauty Industry?
What I like most about the Beauty Industry is it offers the Consumer many Self-Improvement options. It goes far beyond just beauty. The Beauty Industry offers Consumes an Imagine Upgrade in Skin~Care, Health~Care, and Personal~Care. There are various ways to improve your beauty and self-image. You have skincare products, cosmetics products, and beauty technology gadgets that you can utilize daily. But you can also walk into the nearest Spa Salon, Esthetician Office, Dermatology Office, or Plastic Surgeon Office. Whichever one you choose to improve your self-image service you have many options to choose from.
Why did you choose to become a Beauty Professional?
I love the Beauty and Fashion Industry it was born in me and it was meant for me to pursue these two Career Industries. Its nothing like doing what you love and loving what you do. It is like a Dream Come True.
With this being Black History Month I would like to share this.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr said “I Have a Dream”. Quoting “If you can’t fly then run if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Whatever I do I will keep moving forward. For me, the road has been very rocky, curvy, and sloppy but l will keep moving forward.
What are your greatest strengths?
Well, I would have to say my greatest strengths are I am self-motivated, self-determined, self-disciplined, and enthusiastic. I am a creative thinker, analytical thinker, and task prioritizer, and I have great communication skills I am a dedicated professional. I am a quick learner and I have great technical skills.
Describe a difficult work situation and how you handled it.
While working at American Airlines as a Security Operations Specialist Contractor. we had to deal with various situations. The best way and only way to handle any difficult situation are to be calm, utilize patience, and have understanding. Try to analyze the situation first to see how best to respond. It takes Critical Thinking. In a difficult situation, there is no room for error. We want to final outcome to be a favorable one for all parties involved.
What are your Career goals for the future?
My goal for the future is to build a Beauty Empire like Madam C. J. Walker. Madam C.J. Walker is my greatest inspiration. She is recorded as the first female self-made millionaire in America in the Guinness Book of World Records. Madam C.J. Walker was an African American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and political and social activist. Born: December 23, 1867, Delta, LA Died: May 25, 1919, Irvington, NY. She definitely left behind a Great Legacy for all women in the Beauty Industry. We also need to leave a Legacy behind for the Young BeautyPreneurs coming behind us. Give them something to dream of and hold on to.
What are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about fulfilling my dreams, visions, and God-Given Destiny. I want to help transform the lives of our customers. Most of all offering them the best, healthy, and most affordable skincare/cosmetics products. A Company should always put its Customers first.
