Meet Tiffany Harrison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Harrison.

Hi Tiffany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a single mother of 3. We all have sensitivity to many soaps and highly scented lotions. We have always been able to use Dove products. One day I decided to look into the ingredients in those products. I realized I didn’t know most of them. After that I looked up how to make soap. The information I found really surprised me. I then started watching videos on how to make soap and researching the ingredients that are best for skin. I made my first batch and tried it out. I loved it. So, I started recruiting testers and they all loved it. From there I’ve just been researching, creating and putting it out for people to buy and enjoy healthy skin. Because that’s all I’m about. I say all the time that I don’t make pretty soap, I make pretty skin.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s definitely been a struggle getting my product in front of people. There are markets that I go to get my name out there but sometimes I sell out and sometimes I only make 2 or 3 sells. The main thing that gets sells is when people try it and love it. But I can’t give away everything or I’d put myself out of business before it gets going good! But it’s getting better slowly but surely. I’m gaining repeat customers every month. So, I know once I get it out to enough people in enough places things will take off.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I make all natural skin care products. My products don’t have chemicals or preservatives. Just good soap. I specialize in giving people the gift of healthy skin.

My body butters are the most popular. They keep the skin silky smooth all day without leaving you greasy and slippery.

What sets my products apart from most skin care brands is I take pride in researching every ingredient and trying it for myself first before trying to sell it to anyone else. I don’t add colors or anything to make the soap stand out visibly because those things can compromise the healthy benefits of my products. I don’t use artificial fragrances either. Many people don’t realize it smells lovely, but it’s causing havoc on the skin. I just want everyone to have healthy vibrant skin like they should.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grew up in the small town of Brookshire, Texas. I was the youngest of 5 siblings until I was in my early 20s. I’ve always been very inquisitive about things. I’ve always loved finding out how things are made or how they work, and how they contribute to everyday life. I have never been into make-up and weaves, so I can’t really relate to many of my peers when it comes to beauty standards. But one thing I have always been complimented on is my skin. I’ve always been a minimalist when it comes to a beauty routine. Less is always more as far as I’m concerned.

I’ve always enjoyed helping people and spreading knowledge that can help people be better. That’s why I’m so passionate about this skin care line. The Skin serves as a barrier to our body. So, we have to take care of it to keep our bodies protected!

I’ve been very concerned how people now lean so heavily on make-up to cover up the flaws in their skin instead of taking care of their skin so it can be healthy and glowing without caking up tons of make up on it. Doing that only damages the skin even more.

I am also a singer. I go on stage bare faced. All my photoshoots have been bare faced. I am just really big on getting people to embrace natural beauty. And it all starts with taking care of your natural self. I even wash my hair with my soaps. My curls love it! And when I go out and people say “oh your skin is so beautiful” or “I love your curls” they usually follow up with what I do to maintain it. And I can proudly tell them I use my own natural products.
