Today we’d like to introduce you to Kinzey Babineaux.
Hi Kinzey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I started out in a chain salon, learned the basics then went off to a small business salon. I did a lot of continued education in between. I recently took a leap of faith and started my own business 7 years later!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely had ups and downs! At one point, I wanted to go to nursing school after two years into my industry but decided to ride it out, and I’m so glad I did! Cosmetology is definitely my passion.
As you know, we’re big fans of Kolour Kulture & Beyond Hair Studios. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a hairstylist in Conroe, and I specialize in color, extensions, bridal hair & makeup. I love doing all the colors, but reds are by far my favorite to do!
My proudest moment is finally opening my own business. I was scared to do it, but I finally felt that the time was right.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Definitely be more cautious to taking sick clients to keep my other ones safe and healthy.
