Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Anderson. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Amber Anderson is an American R&B/Pop singer, songwriter, cosmetics owner, model, and upcoming actress. Amber always wanted to be a superstar. Amber attended Second City Chicago in 2016, where she study improve. “While I was there, I was always networking, finding ways to grow. I love being a student at heart; never think you’re above anybody where you can’t learn. Everyone knows something, don’t underestimate it”. Her first single she dropped was 2017 entitled “Sad Family” a remix to Tory Lanez song Proud Family. Amber has also collaborate on other projects with other artists such as Juray, Rich Ty, DajaNae, and Bryselis. She also had drop singles to show her versatility in sing and rapping. Amber dropped her first project entitled “Forever 21” in 2021 of May. She featured a few artist like Tae Tru and Ji Honcho. “Forever 21 showed my creativity and versatility in not only my style but writing”. She released a music video for “For Me.” Amber is also the CEO of her company “Birdie Cosmetics,” which was formally known as “Birdie Lashes” before she expanded. We ask her what is her future looking like “The best is yet to come you just to stick around and see for yourself.”
Birdie Lashes started as an idea in 2017 and launch into a business officially on November 24th, 2018. Standing on our three pillars: Faith, Beauty, and Encouragement, we provide our customers with the best quality, service, and satisfaction. Birdie Cosmetics CEO Amber A. decided to create an eyeshadow palette to celebrate her 21st birthday. In May of 2019, the brand expanded from Birdie Lashes to Birdie Cosmetics. We remained standing on three pillars as we included other cosmetic products. Birdie Cosmetics has expanded and plans to continue too. From Birdie Lashes to Birdie Cosmetics, we offer brushes, brow pomade, lipstick, lip glosses, liquid liners, hoodies and etc.
Today Amber is on a mission! Amber is releasing new music this year. “I recorded these songs last year during my journey, and I’m excited to show the world what I’ve been working on in private.” Amber has been featured in music videos from other upcoming artist; she also does songwriting for other upcoming artist. Amber also has a branding deal with “Rich Attitude” where she models, acting, and helps with the production team on filming and creating the skits with Rich Attitude. “I’m working hard like a superwoman, but I’m loving every minute of it.”
Running a successful business while taking her music career to the next level. Amber is determine to make it her final thoughts was “A lot of practice and discipline is needed when you’re trying to be successful. It’s okay to stop and smell the roses but understand you have to keep it moving. Stay consistence, and always learn how to perfect your craft. If you love what you do show it in your craft EVERYTIME. Practice, make sacrifices, grow a momentum, and hold yourself accountable. Don’t focus on nothing but you have tunnel vision, hard work always pay off. Always put God first and let HIM direct your path; when you make him the Head of your life everything always fall into place.”
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a business and working a 9 to 5 was very heard starting out. Somedays I didn’t sleep. If I did, it was like 1 or 2 hrs., and I didn’t go out as much as people taught. But going out, I wasted a lot of money. But I was the first to start a business out my family, so I didn’t have a blueprint to go by. So, I had to figure everything out. Thank God I pray because it gave me structure to a handle a business. Imagine walking thru fog not knowing where you going. That’s the best way to describe it. Not knowing how to brand a business, do research, create content, and learning marketing. I didn’t know how to do none of that, now 4 years later I do. I quit my job last year on a leap of faith. That’s really when I started strategizing how to make revenue from my business. Learning to network and brand was my homework every day. It still has its ups and downs, but overall, I love what I do, I came along way. So, I’ll always find a way to figure it out.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m not just no singer; I’m really a superstar. I grew up singing in my grandfather’s church when I was younger. I’ve always love singing; I imagine myself on stage performing all the time. As I got older, I started writing music and film; I really enjoy the studio life. Writing, singing, and creating song on a beat is fun. I absolutely enjoying bringing sounds together, and I enjoy the people I work with in the studio. Far as Birdie Cosmetics, I never thought about being a business owner. God answer my prayers. But I enjoy running my business. Birdie Cosmetics is my 9 to 5, and singing is my dreams. I’m proud of making my visions come to life. I plan things out and just start working towards that goals until they’re done. Not just for Birdie but also for my music as well. From songwriting to visual, I’m very details and thoughtful in my craft. What sets me apart is I stay in my own lane. I’m very talented; I may find inspiration in things. But I always like to stay true to myself; it’s me vs. me. I challenge myself to do better than the last time every time. So, it will always speaks for itself. No need to boast just remain consistence.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is debt free lifestyle. Mentally, Physically, and Finically. A success mindset was the first piece of wealth I gained. Yes, money is important, relationships are need. But success is a mindset. That’s where you have ideas, knowledge, skill sets. You name it. In order to be successful, you have to have the mindset.
