MzDee has always been a behind the scene person when it came to helping others with their projects. Always leading a helping hand to whoever need one. MzDee is also a Co-Author of the Women of Destiny Book “There Is A Real Healed You” From Wounded to Warrior. Over 6 years of experience of event coordinating with comes along with her passion for Administration. MzDee never imagined that her love for helping others put their events together to see them through to completion who end up becoming her very own business. Behind The Scene with MzDee LLC wouldn’t be the business that it is if it wasn’t for MzDee big support team of family, friends, and partnerships.

Behind the Scene with MzDee LLC wouldn’t have been founded if it was for MzDee involved in her church New Destiny Church in Coldspring, Tx. MzDee started the journey working in ministry at New Destiny Church God allowed her spiritual gift of Administration to glow. Taking position in the InReach Outreach Media Team to soon becoming Lady Harden at the time to now Pastor Tonya Harden Administrator for many years. Shifting over Church Administrator has sent MzDee through a lot of training, which has sharpen her Administration skills. Coming from being in the corrections field most of her adult life, this field was something new to her. But with no schooling the experience and training she was exposed to has now landed her in the career field of Human Resources. Only God knew that this would now be her path. Roman 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” She firmly believes that this is the path that God has her on, and she will walk and follow him through it all, but it was no one but God that put her on this path.

MzDee also holds a position on the board of a non-profit organization (San Jacinto County Outreach Committee) that resides in her county. Being the Director of the DETDRRT (Deep East Texas Disaster Readiness and Recovery Team). She is about to be a part of helping to get several resources to her county and surrounding counties as the program grows. She is very passionate about everything that she does. MzDee has a server’s hearts and does what she can when she can to be there for others. Everything that she has came from God, and every lesson learned God allowed her to go through she will be able to help others that will cross her path.

When you book your event with Behind The Scene with MzDee LLC your event will be taken care of by this loving and caring person. MzDee will make sure your event is the way that you vision it. MzDee is passionate about what she do and will give it her all. This has been long overdue but on April 19, 2022, Behind The Scene with MzDee LLC was created. I jumped into entrepreneurship, for anyone who know me knows I have been scared to step into Entrepreneurship. With 6 years of experience and many talks with other entrepreneurs such as The Lady Entrepreneur101 (Jocelyn Michelle Darden Traylor), Harden Enterprise Services LLC (Tonya Harden and Clyde Harden), The Food Lady Catering (Laketra Miles). You all don’t know how much I love and appreciate each of you for the push to go into business for myself. From the Business Workshop with The Lady Entrepreneur101 and Business Classes in Lions Den this has given me the starter steps to move forward. Being in the Lions Den Business Class I have obtained 3 certifications: HUB Certification, Women Business Entrepreneur, Minority Business Entrepreneur. To my family and friends who have encouraged me along the way, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

It definitely hasn’t been easy, but with God the village that he has in place along with my the support of my family and friends. I am super excited for the journey that is ahead of me.

Let me bring your VISION to LIFE by Letting Me See It Through Your Eyes.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all; I have a servers heart so I’m willing to help anyone out that calls and ask a question. When the conversations is over, I have given them every vendor they will need to make their event happen instead of having to the hire me to do it for them.

With getting the business started the corrected way, I have been pulled and pushed to learn the business area in a different light. I had to do some deep soul-searching on what exactly was it that I was waiting for myself and my family coming behind me. A lot of people who were are around me wasn’t understanding why I was moving in a certain way. I took a lot of stares and look that made me doubt myself at times, but I had to come to realize that some people may not understand what I was doing and why and I had to be ok with that.

I love all my clients, but they all are different, and, in my field, I have to learn each one because each event is not the same, and each person doesn’t move the same. Each client I have is a lesson that will teach me sometime to prepare me for my next client.

Believing that I can be a risk-taker is definitely a true struggle for me. Yes, I am taking steps. I am scared every day.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been in Corrections since 2004 (4 years at Texas Department of Criminal Justice and 15 years at a private prison as of today). I have been a Correctional Officer, Supervisor of Classification, Countroom Officer, Warden Secretary, and now currently Human Resource Clerk.

In 2014 I started serving in the church ministry. In my journey working in ministry at New Destiny Church, God allowed her spiritual gift of Administration to glow. This is a field that I never had an interest in. First, I took a position in the InReach Outreach Media Team, which then led me to becoming Lady Harden at the time to now Pastor Tonya Harden Administrator for 4 years. 2019 I became the Church Administrator and still serving in that position today. Working in ministry in those positions has allow me to go through a lot of training which has sharpen my Administration skills. With having no schooling, the experience and training she was exposed to has landed me in the career field of Human Resources.

Being exposed to my newly found Administrator skills showed me that I have a strong skill of organization. Which allows me in my business field of Event Coordinating to use this skill that is very much needed. I love organization and structure. Working with the Non-Profit Organization the San Jacinto County Outreach Committee (SJCOC) being a resource to the county is amazing feeling. The Community Thanksgiving Feast, we feed each year close to 1000 people a hot meal and send home 350 families with Turkeys and Food Baskets with the participation of community leaders, businesses, churches, and other organizations. Being the Director of the Deep East Texas Disaster Readiness and Recovery Team (DETDRRT) allows me to be involve with the County and to get resources in the time of a disaster in a timely manner. During the Pandemic, we were able to partner with two organizations to bring COVID shots to the families in our community.

I am known for always being there to lend a helping hand to other, before my business, I used to say that I was a midwife to help others bring their events and ideals to life. I just always wanted to be there for others.

I am most proud of my daughter Kasi Wyatt. Kasi is a young rising artist known by her artist name Kasi Jay. Being a proud mother is an understatement Kasi Jay released her first single, “I’m Blessed” December 2021 https://youtu.be/aU-PLpKr9c8 and her second single “The Race” December 2022 https://youtu.be/KyFl7cTt78o . Kasi is also a sophomore in college at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx. She is the Praise and Worship Leader at her church St. Galilee in Coldspring, Tx. She is also a youth matron for the G-Unit, which is their youth ministry. She has a passion for reach out to the youth in the world. She drops inspirational video on her social media account. Being raised by a single mother she understands and can relate the youth who feels abandon and not wanted. It has been a long road for us, but God allowed things to happen to where we were able to build and grow our relationship.

I try to see the best in everyone. I try to help out those who wants to do better. Even when they have done wrong to others but if I can see that they are trying, I will give them another chance. My mindset has changed; it hasn’t always been this way. I truly believe if a person wants to change they will. I accept everyone for the person that they are. My past haven’t been the best and someone saw something in me and gave me a change to be better, and I owe that same chance to the next person.

We’d love to hear about what you think about risk-taking.
I was never the risk taker, back in 2019, the vision for our church was JUMP. When I tell you my jump didn’t come until 2022. I was unsure if that move was really for me, so I just sat back and watched everyone else. It felt good when I did JUMP. I started moving to start my business, and each step I accomplished, I was proud of myself for doing it. My ex-husband verbally abused me, and the one thing that stuck with me was that he would say, “I would never amount to anything after him.” But to see me with a business with 3 certifications and working on the 4th means a lot to me.

Listening to my daughter talk about getting her LLC to start a Mentorship for Youth lets me know that she is watching me. Me taking a risk and moving forward is allowing her to see that she can do it as well. Others are watching me as well, so I hope me continuing to move forward will give courage to move forward.
