Hi Angela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I became interested in the beauty business at a young age, 10 years old or so. It all started with playing in my mom’s hair, then it went to braids and weaves, and eventually to makeup. I took up cosmetology in High school, where I obtained my cosmetology license. Now years later, I’m learning new techniques and building my business. I call myself “The Beauty Fairy.”
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh my God, No! It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. I can go from 10 appointments in a week to none at all. Do I ever want to give up? Yep! Every day, but do I? Nope. I just think of other ways to increase my clientele and explore different avenues of promoting my business

I’m a MUA (makeup artist) as well as a hairstylist. I specialize in glam and special effects makeup. I’m known for wearing many hats. I’m most proud of the progress of my business(es). What sets me apart from others is my skills are a gift. A God-given gift.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Well as far as a mentor, make sure it’s someone who wants to see you succeed! Honestly, the one thing that has worked for me is YouTube videos 😁
