Today we’d like to introduce you to Elsa Pineda.
Hi Elsa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I started my credit repair company at the end of 2020. This journey all started when my own personal credit was affected due to me being a co-signer on a family member’s car loan, and this particular individual did not take care of the loan. I had many late payments reported within the last 12 months, and in the end, the vehicle was reported as a REPO. I began to look into removing the debt from my credit report and realized I was not the only person dealing with this situation. I learned that paying this debt was not going to help improve my credit score and that it would also not remove the late payments reported. I was very intrigued by all the information I learned in a short period of time. So, I took matters into my own hands and learned methods of dispute, where to send my letters, how to deal with all three credit bureaus, and learned to negotiate with creditors. Once I was able to remove this account from my credit report, I realized my credit score was still not where it needed to be, and soon after learned that there was more than just removing a negative account from my credit report. I put a plan in place to lower my debt and help increase my score. I am always one to share my thoughts and ideas. As I began to gain great results on my own credit report, I started sharing my results on my social media accounts, and friends and family members reached out to me for help with their credit; helping others have always been my passion. I knew that I was going to start changing lives, and I wanted to start helping others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a new business from the ground up with no guidance and being the first one in your family to launch a business in credit repair was very challenging. The first year in business was definitely the most challenging. I struggled with obtaining new clients; I had to gain their trust so that they could give me the opportunity to improve their credit. I also had to study and take many courses to feel confident when speaking to clients and going over their credit report to put a plan in place to get them to their goal… Scaling your business can be hard too, but once you get past trying to get support from those around you and focus on those who need you, it gets much easier. Consistency and Discipline will get you far in your business, and my favorite is putting GOD first in everything I do.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Signature Financial Services, LLC helps to repair, restore and rebuild your credit. We legally dispute the negative items on a person’s credit report to ensure they are in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. There are so many laws they have to follow; if they are not 100% accurate or 100% verifiable or within the specified time frame that the law states, it must be REMOVED. We help many people who are in the process of purchasing their new home or vehicle. We are not only helping our clients remove the negative items on their credit report. We are helping them accomplish their dream/goals. I believe what sets us apart from others is that we are very BIG on customer service, keeping a consistent communication with all clients and affiliates from the beginning to the end. By also fully training our clients in maintaining a good credit score once they have graduated our program. We build that TRUST relationship from the start, and this is why our clients and affiliates continue to refer new clients to us on a daily basis.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Most definitely, my advice to others beginning their journey in this industry is to learn as much as you can. Find a mentor, make sure you do your research, and take as much training courses as possible. Get board certified even if it is not a requirement to have a credit repair business. Never stop learning.
