Conversations with Samuel Carvallo Hung

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel Carvallo Hung.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always had a deep passion for art and design, which has been a part of my life since I was young. Over the years, I have worked hard to hone my skills and creativity, receiving compliments and recognition for my work. When the pandemic hit, my parents faced challenges with their small business, struggling to attract customers and generate sales. Determined to help, I used my passion and skills to create a Facebook and Instagram page for their business, where I posted advertising content showcasing their products and services. Through this marketing content, which included promotions and offers, we were able to generate sales and attract new customers. Seeing the positive impact my work had on my parents’ business was incredibly rewarding, and it inspired me to start my own small business. I began creating advertising and marketing content for other small businesses in my community, including business cards, social media posts, and flyers. While some people doubted my abilities due to my age, I persevered and found success in doing what I love while helping others. I have been passionate about using my creativity to help small businesses grow and thrive, and I believe that my work has had a positive impact on my Hispanic community.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Balancing school and work was difficult, and it took some time to figure out the best way to manage my schedule. However, I persevered, and I’m proud of what I have achieved. One of the biggest obstacles I encountered was the skepticism and doubt of others. Many potential clients questioned my ability to provide valuable work because of my age. It was disheartening to have some offers taken away, but I didn’t let it discourage me. Instead, I focused on building relationships with the people who trusted me and appreciated the work I was doing. I believe that my passion advertising and designing coupled with my determination and work ethic, have allowed me to succeed despite the obstacles in my path. While there have been challenges along the way, I have learned to overcome them and emerge stronger and more confident in my abilities.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in graphic design and advertising, creating advertising and marketing materials for small businesses. My services include designing logos, business cards, social media posts, flyers, and other promotional materials.

What I’m most proud of is being able to help small businesses grow and thrive through my work. I love creating unique and effective designs that capture the essence of each client’s brand and help them stand out in their market. Seeing my clients’ businesses succeed and knowing that I played a part in their success brings me great satisfaction.

What sets me apart from others is my passion for what I do and my commitment to providing personalized attention to each client. I take the time to understand each client’s unique needs and preferences, and I work closely with them throughout the design process to ensure that the final product exceeds their expectations. Additionally, I believe that my ability to communicate effectively with clients and my willingness to go above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction sets me apart from others in my field. I’m passionate about my work, and I take great pride in providing high-quality design services that help small businesses succeed.

What do you think about luck?
I believe that luck has played a role in both my life and my business. While hard work and determination are certainly important factors in achieving success, I also recognize that sometimes things happen that are outside of our control.

In terms of good luck, I feel fortunate to have discovered my passion for art and design at a young age. This has allowed me to pursue my interests and develop my skills over time, which has led to opportunities and successes that I may not have had otherwise. Additionally, I’ve been fortunate to have supportive friends and family members who have encouraged and believed in me along the way.
