Hi Darren, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started 3D mobile Detailing and pressure washing in March of 2023; since I love keeping my vehicle clean, I figured why not start my own business and detail other cars. I tried this back in 2017, and I didn’t continue; however this time, I turned it up a notch and invested in professional products, pressure washer machine, and other key components to provide a more quality service so that I can pull up to any location and get the job done. After all, WE ARE A MOBILE DETAIL BUSINESS!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, nothing will ever be smooth sailing. I’ve had challenges and still have challenges just trying to stay focused on slow days and rainy days that can cause a pause in business. We are still trying to iron out the kinks on becoming an established business and a successful entrepreneur.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a clean car fanatic. Before starting my business, I had a membership at the Honey Sheep car wash on OST, where I would go to almost every day. I noticed that instead of me paying to go through a drive through Carwash, I could hand wash my own car and others and also make it a profit because I pay attention to detail and I know how I like my car clean. I detail cars, not just clean them, but I thoroughly pay attention to everything that the typical Carwash does not. I take my time, and I take pride in my work. I am known for Detailing the proper way and having your car looking like it’s fresh off the showroom floor! Like the H-town Legend Fat Pat say, “I take pride in my ride like every playa should.”
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Since I recently started 3D, I have not encountered any lessons due to COVID; since it’s practically the new normal and cases have lessened here it has not affect me or my business. However, in the event it does, I am aware of how to take precaution while in contact with customers.
