Leslie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi! My name is Leslie Fernandez, and I am a licensed esthetician and owner of Divine Skin Studio; I originally got started in Skincare in 2016. For the longest time, skincare had been a hidden passion of mine, and I had gotten to a place where I wanted to change the direction of my career. I worked in corporate America for 13 years, and it just wasn’t fulfilling; I wanted my next career path to mean something more to me…something that served a greater purpose. A purpose to be of service others; I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives so that interest pushed to go back to school while still working full-time to pursue my passion. After getting my license, I began freelancing and working in spas to gain experience and knowledge. I wanted to create an environment and experience with a calming aesthetic and knowledgeable estheticians that can deliver long-lasting results, so I opened Divine Skin Studio in 2019.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve definitely had struggles along the way, but I can say it has all been lessons. To building clientele, marketing, finances to maintain a business, and going through a shutdown in 2020 due to Covid, it is challenging. But I believe whatever you want to do and are called to do is worth fighting, and those struggles and tribulations are on only temporary; they teach how strong you are and are just stepping blocks to entrepreneurship.
We’ve been impressed with Divine Skin Studio, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a Corrective Skincare Studio that services all demographics. We specialize in providing quality skin care services and regiments tailored to fit each individual’s needs while also nurturing and nourishing your skin on your skincare journey.
We offer facial and body treatments from Acne facials, Anti-Aging facials, Chemical peels, Microneedling, Dermaplane and etc.
What sets us apart is our professional and willingness to work with Individuals and their skincare concerns to get the best results possible.
We offer a provide a calming but thorough experience… that will leave you feeling refreshed and revived but one step closer to your skin goal!
