Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Reina.
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I always wanted a business of my own. I started at 15 with a babysitting business! I ended up working for Pappas Restaurants for around 20 years. I had my 2 boys during my Pappas tenure and realized I really wanted to be there for them more than I was able to be. So, I started an in-home preschool and childcare so I could homeschool them and pay my bills. It was fun for a while, but I realized I needed something more. I found an ad in Pennyhoarder.com for Bookkeeper Launch. This was an online school to train to be a bookkeeper and even how to run a business! I jumped in with both feet and have never looked back! Best decision I have ever made, aside from marrying my amazing husband. Now I have a successful bookkeeping business, have time for my boys, and can make a difference. I love it!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has NOT been smooth, but without the bumps along the way…how would we grow? I am extremely introverted! Just getting myself in front of people to advertise my services was SO hard for me. On the advice of my mentor, the man who started Bookkeeper Launch, I joined my local Chamber of Commerce. That has been so helpful for me personally and in business. I have been able to come out of my shell and embrace a new me! The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce is full of amazing and wonderful people. They took me in and have helped me find a business leader inside myself that I never knew existed. Now I am a Team Lead, Team Captain, and soon-to-be Diplomat of the Year!
As you know, we’re big fans of Blue Skies Bookkeeping. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
I specialize in helping “Mom & Pop” businesses and Solo-preneurs. Since I am just like them, I feel like I can really understand what my clients go through every day. I know that these dreamers are just trying to make a life for themselves and their families, and I want to help them reach their goals. We are in this together, and I truly believe that when they succeed, it means I have also succeeded. I want my clients to know they are not alone. I am here to let them vent, find them solutions, and to keep them on the track they want to be on. Teamwork makes the dream work!

I love working with other business owners! I am always looking for referral partners. CPAs, Accountants, other Bookkeepers, Merchant Services, Payroll companies, business lawyers, etc., are all excellent to match up with.
