Myoa’s Cook-es offers a luxury cookie experience in the form of freshly baked, organic and made-to-order premium cookies. As an upscale bakery, we specialize in an assortment of delicious treats that are both visually appealing and scrumptious. Our customers can be assured of high-quality & organic ingredients and masterful baking techniques that ensure a fresh and mouth-watering taste with every bite. We take pride in providing our customers with a personalized luxury cookie experience that is unmatched in the industry as our customers indulge in the decadent pleasure of Myoa’s Cook-es.
Myoa’s Cook-es started almost ten years ago as goodies baked out of love for family, friends, and band members. The cookies were not sold then but always had my close circle craving them. Her best friend Cy Jackson asked for them almost every time she could and always wanted a cookie cake for her birthday.
That desire and dream became a home-based cookie-registered business in August 2021. Since then, we have had repeat customers, have baked for events, and continue to sell our cookies with love.
We have served the community through online orders, farmers’ markets as well as custom specialty orders.
Myoa’s Cook-es can test the market on a bigger scale by opening up a location kitchen & storefront.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We started in 2021, but that was still during the period where the pandemic was still having its struggles and restaurants were picking up.
People craved sweets, and so even though there was a pandemic, there was the opportunity to serve and share love with my cookies.
A challenge was being a start-up in these times and to ensure we were able to continue operation.
Another challenge was that nationwide there was shortage in the food industry, and so we pride ourselves in using the freshest ingredients and organic ingredients; and shortage caused prices to increase, and we had to make sure our standards did not fall and remained the same.
We were able to successfully do so by acquiring an account with a food distributor.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am also a Singer/Songwriter whose musical journey has catapulted her from the beautiful coast of West Africa to the Queen’s land in England UK, and finally to the immensely diverse and invigorating music scene of the USA.
I wrote my first song at the age of 9, and I used to organize mini-singing concerts with my sisters and write poems on the blackboard in our dining room.
Myoa pursued a career in Finance and settled into a lifestyle filled with stability and structure but lacked what she loved most; her music. Feeling there was more to life than the life of number crunching as an accountant, Myoa opted for another path. Resigning from her job, she packed her bags (along with her master’s degree & Chartered Certified Qualification in Finance) and decided to explore opportunities to study music in the USA, the sunny, palm tree-riddled streets of Los Angeles, CA to be exact!
Myoa decided to expand her brand by creating her bakery Myoa’s Cook-es. Myoa’s journey to owning her first cookie shop is supported from experience learned business operations from other bakery stores as well as her experience in various companies/industries. Myoa’s work experience has allowed her to work in positions at the top of organizations where decision-making had to be done to ensure business success.
I am known as a whole as my brand of creating both music and cookies that have premium deliverables.

I am very proud of being a mother; that is now my first love and everything I do is centered around my child. Being a mother and a female entrepreneur starting a cookie business in the same season is something I cherish and shows me my ability, with the help of God, that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to

People can support me by supporting my small business by purchasing cookies online, spreading the word, attending local farmer markets where we show up.

As for my music, downloading my songs or commenting on music videos that I self-produce and direct myself or co-direct is always a sign of good support
