Life & Work with Evelyn Salazar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evelyn Salazar.

EVELYN SALAZAR

Evelyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Evelyn, and I came to this country in 2017 in search of the American dream, but mainly believing in the fulfillment of a pact made with God a few months before.

I was born in Venezuela; I studied Systems Engineering and practiced this profession for more than 20 years in my country. I could say that my professional career was successful, but I couldn’t say the same about my love life.

I had gone through two divorces that led me to hit rock bottom and feel like the most unsuccessful woman in the world. Pain and shame were the emotions that accompanied me in those moments of my life.

That led me to turn my life around and focus on my personal development as a priority.

Understanding why this was happening to me, discovering my childhood wounds, knowing how the human mind works, and beginning the awakening of my consciousness definitely made me understand what I was in this world for.

Every difficulty had a reason for being in my life.

I am not saying this just because of my sentimental and emotional situation, but because I had to thrive with the challenge of having my daughter with the condition of Asperger’s syndrome (high-functioning autism, as she was diagnosed in her adolescence). What I later understood was part of the experiences that would lead me today to be who I am and be clear about the purpose of my life.

With everything I had learned, I quickly began to help other women; I knew that most couple problems were not related to adulthood but to deficiencies, traumas, and situations experienced in childhood.

For three years, I was still in my country, motivating and supporting women to strengthen their self-esteem and work for their dreams.

When I arrived in Houston, invited by who would later become my husband, I made a promise to God: Lord, if you allow me to have a stable and happy marriage, I promise that I will become the best wife in the world and dedicate myself to serve you.

God gave me the opportunity, and I started in the urgency of fulfilling my part of the bargain.

I approached a couple of churches, thinking that it would be the way to serve and continue helping women. But it was not like that. I felt that this was not the way.

I wanted to help women who even felt as unworthy to be in a church as I once did. I had to find another way. That led me to enroll in the training program for Coaches, teachers, and speakers of the famous John C. Maxwell. He is recognized as the number one author and leadership teacher in the world.

I wanted to quickly start sharing his message with all the women I met. The world needed our leadership. Women are called to occupy a more transcendental role in humanity and rebuild societies rescuing values.

I began to form my first virtual communities of women: we healed the wounds of love and empowered ourselves as leaders of our own lives.

I was traveling a path where only at each step the next one was revealed to me.

I believe that faith was the fundamental key to moving forward without knowing where it would lead.

In December 2020, I miraculously received a gift from a friend to invite me to a virtual marketing event. She had paid her ticket, and they had given her the opportunity to invite someone.

I perfectly remember that December 4th. With great fear, I was taking out my credit card to make the most expensive investment that I had ever made before in any training. It was $5,000 to enter the Mastermind program that would last one year.

I took it very seriously, firstly because I needed to recover my investment and secondly, when I discovered through marketing the means to take my message to the whole world and thus help more women every day to empower themselves, dream big, and work for your dreams.

I have to confess that I never had a concrete plan; I just had that burning desire in my

heart to help many more by getting them out of their mediocre and routine lives.

The plan was being built with each step he took. The leadership that characterized me from my days as an engineer long before, because I recognize that it is a family gift, had expanded and multiplied so much that even without financial resources, I was able to build my first team of eight women collaborating in my mission. The only thing I had to pay them for their work was my knowledge, which I transmitted to them every day.

I had a powerful team that helped me summon more women, and we began to give the first training sessions on women’s empowerment.

God put another desire in my heart: “a great network of women helping women.”

There are millions of women in the world needing help to be recognized, included, and empowered to fulfill the true mission of life for which they are in this world.

Work on discovering and highlighting their gifts and talents. Teach them to overcome their fears and raise their voices to be heard. Give them tools so they can support other women.

Everything was making sense and taking direction. Today my empowerment programs are very well structured.

Every woman who so desires can become a mentor to other women.

They are trained as a speaker to properly communicates their message anywhere.

They manages to transmit knowledge to other people through the internet, placing opportunities within the reach of many others.

Even being able to write their own story and put it into a book, thus leaving a legacy for their family and for the world.

Today my team of collaborators is made up of 17 people around America.

I have opened my own corporation EVELYN SALAZAR MENTOR CORP, and we are generating income, sharing knowledge, and spreading love to any Spanish-speaking women around the world.

My virtual community exceeds 15 thousand women.

I am fulfilling my promise to God because He has given me much more than what I had asked for.

But mainly, I feel happy, bright, and complete, living a life with meaning and significance. I think we all deserve it, and we can achieve it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every day brings its own challenges; I have stopped calling them struggles because I have learned the power of the word.

For many years I fought for everything I wanted.

Today I know that everything is perfect just as it is and that when we walk in faith and take action doing our part, God takes care of His. Therefore there is nothing to fight for but only work on dreaming, learning, and doing what corresponds to me to achieve my goals.

I learned to enjoy the road as it is, with its ups and downs.

I learned to take teachings and always try new ways of doing things until they turn out the way I want.

I also learned that when things don’t turn out the way I want them to, it’s because they’re going to turn out even better.

When we work our mind, soul, and spirit, everything is bound to go well.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I help Hispanic women to empower themselves through programs where they strengthen their self-esteem, discover their gifts and talents, overcome their fears, and commit to living a life with purpose. I am the creator and facilitator of a personal development program called Mujer Brillante, which prepares women to be Mentors of other women, info-producers, speakers, and authors of their own books.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The women I help are Hispanic, coming from the USA or any country in the world.

You just have to enter my Facebook community called: Women Who Shine With Their Own Light, where I share a lot of free value content, and from there they make the decision to go to one of my programs or private mentoring that can be individual or group. Which do require an investment depending on the program and the way in which they will receive it.

I have also helped many women in depressed countries like my own country of origin, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Peru, and Mexico, giving them opportunities to work with me and receive income after being trained by myself in the areas of sales, digital marketing, or as info-producers.

Finally, I would like to tell every Hispanic woman living in the United States that it is possible to fulfill your dreams and live a meaningful life by helping each other. I am here to serve you and I would love for you to join this great movement of Brilliant Women.
