Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Coleman.
Hi Danielle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Three years ago, I decided to pack everything I had, relocated to Houston, and chose to chase my dreams of being a creative. I’ve always wanted to work in media since I was a little girl; I just didn’t have a clue for what specifically. Now as a twenty-four-year-old woman, I’ve come to the conclusion that my passion is to generally inspire through my craft whether that was visually or verbally.
I started photography in 2019, taking pictures of nature, skylines, and/or anything that was just intriguing to me. I fell in love with the beauty of it all, and I also felt as though one picture could mean so many things. I then started to capture photos of clients, which I loved because I’ve gotten the chance to work with so many wonderful people and build so many amazing relationships! Photography was just the start of my excitement, curiosity, and inspiration for more.
I then enrolled at Texas Southern University, majoring communications slowly diving more into radio, writing, blogging, and filming in 2020, and I haven’t turned back since! Being a creative motivated me to build my own website in 2021 named Danielle’s BLVD, where I am the jack of all trades on one platform! My website features my photography portfolio, my blogging/writing, my YouTube channel, and future projects.
My ultimate goal is to show the world who Danielle Coleman is and what she has to offer. And I hope that one day I can be an inspiration to others!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Dealing with life and still maintaining to be on top of my craft. Being a full-time student while trying to work, be financially stable, pay bills on top of being a creative is definitely challenging! But how can I want to be successful if I’m not willing to go through these small obstacles.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do a little of everything, but I’m most known for and specialize in photography, film, and writing.
I’m most proud of my dedication and determination, I think that’s what sets me apart from others.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
My mom threw me a Hawaiian-themed birthday party, something I begged her for, and she made it happen!
