Hi Lynn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
Hello, everyone! 

My name is Lynn Blair. I am the mother of two beautiful children and currently hosting an exchange student from Switzerland! For over a decade, I worked as an elementary school teacher in Aldine and Cy-Fair. Whenever I have a free moment, I continue to substitute teach, though those moments are rare these days. In addition to my passion for education, I am also deeply involved in coaching Special Olympics Track for the Cy-Fair school district, and I foster animals for the local Cypress animal rescue. Apart from my love for children and animals, I have always had a keen interest in real estate. Since 2009, my husband, who is a realtor, and I have been investors. 

Eight years ago, I turned my passion for real estate into reality and joined my husband, Cody, in this field. Last April, I became a real estate broker, and in December 2022, we proudly opened the doors to Blair Realty Group in Fairfield. Having lived in Fairfield in the Cypress area for over 14 years, I have witnessed its transformation from FARfield to one of the most beautiful and outstanding neighborhoods in the Houston area. I truly love this region and understand how incredible it is to live, work, play, and raise a family here. We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some may assume that reaching where we are now was easy or handed to us, but that’s far from the truth. When my husband and I first met, was living in an 800 sq ft home making $37k a year as a teacher. While he worked tirelessly in construction, putting hundreds of thousands of miles on his truck and living in an apartment in College Station. We fought hard to get to where we are today. Both of us shared a passion for real estate and decided to pursue it. We didn’t know how we were going to do it but we knew we WERE going to do it. I remember teaching kindergarten and, on my lunch breaks sitting in my classroom negotiating deals. It took lots of trial and error and patience and tears, but we made it. We used our skills, our knowledge, and our personal drive to grow. I think staying true to ourselves, each other, and our clients is what, in the end, took us to where we knew we could always be. Integrity is and WILL ALWAYS be my number one priority when it comes to any and everything I do. In my personal life or in my business dealings.

Basically, teaching everything you don’t learn in Real Estate School (which is everything you actually need to know!). Once our agents graduate the program, the support doesn’t stop there! By fostering a culture of continuous learning, our agents can confidently navigate complex transactions, make informed decisions, and provide the highest level of service to their clients. 

We foster a family culture at BRG, where we have fun both on and off the field. From making crazy TikToks to enjoying movie nights together, we work and play as a team. Our agents have open communication with me, and they know they can reach out anytime. I love my BRG FAMILY! 

Giving back to the community is crucial to us. This month we are having a back-to-school School Supply Drive benefiting a local CyFair Title 1 School; last month was our blood drive for Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and before that was our canned food drive for Cypress Assisted Ministries. We encourage our agents to bring what they are passionate to the office, and we will help support them by opening offices doors for drives and events! My favorite community event we did was a dog adoption event with Camo Rescue! Lots of puppy cuddles and kisses that day! 

On top of our educational programs and community involvement, we offer our agents low fees with a 90/10 commission split and a $100 monthly fee, without any sign-on or transaction fees, making us a standout choice compared to big box brokerages. 

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
While we are extremely happy and comfortable where we currently are, our m/o has always been growth. Real estate has such a deficit in education that, with our mentor program and all that we offer, we have grown from a handful of agents to over 45 in just 8 months since opening our doors. I don’t take this lightly, as I know each and every one of these fellow agents have put their trust in us as their brokerage. We will do anything and everything to help our agents, providing every tool so that they can be successful. It’s not just about Lynn Blair; it’s about Blair Realty GROUP. Our growth has happened so rapidly that we are currently expanding from our 2200 sq ft office to 5000 sq ft! I can’t wait to offer more opportunities to our agents and our community with the additional space! I feel that training every one of our agents with the best mentor teachers in the business benefits not only BRG agents but also our real estate community as a whole. I hope when another agent sees a BRG listing or receives an offer from a BRG agent, they breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they will be working with an amazing person on the other side of the transaction. We should not be competing with other agents in the business, even if they work under a different brokerage. There is enough real estate to go around, and we are all working for the same goal: getting our clients to the closing table! I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am without my work wife, Jayne Wittschen, who is the definition of the best person you will ever meet in this world, and my work husband, Cody Blair (who I am lucky enough to call my real husband too), who is the man behind the computer! His hard work and never-ending dedication have helped pave the way to making my dreams a reality. Here’s to growth and many more years of success!
