Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Roden.
Christopher , please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve loved commercial airliners since elementary school but I’m not sure when I started building models. However, I’ve been increasingly getting better as I go along and have in the past few years started doing recolors on the templates I use to build the planes. Typically those templates are free but occasionally you have to pay a small fee for them. I advertise both on my Facebook page.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’d say it’s been relatively smooth except for when my computer doesn’t work or I run out of materials (i.e. paper glue or toothpicks).
Please tell us about Airliner Paper Model Recolors.
I specialize in as the title of the company, in Airliner Paper Model Recolors. Considering the mini industry as a whole, I would say I’m pretty well known by most of the airline modelers. I’m most proud of I guess the amount of different models I’ve made and shared on various platforms (ecardmodels.com and papermodelers.com)
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I were to start over, I would probably figure out a better way to present my models in a unique way.

Wow Christopher,
This is very complicated are you drawing the pattern too, that’s the hard part. Those nacelles look like they are cast, not assembled out of many parts. Great job do you sell these packages of plane models?
I am interested for I learned sheet metal working and draw patterns!
