Today, we’d like to introduce you to Tabitha Ford.
Hi Tabitha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Our story started in 2019 when we launched our YouTube channel Becoming The Fords! At the time, my husband, Avery Ford, was full-time in content creation, and I was full-time in cybersecurity. At the time, we gave our YouTube and business five years to be successful. In 2021, we had our first child, and six months later, we moved to Houston for my cybersecurity career. In August of 2022, we started the Amazon influencer program, along with adding our 2nd child in December of 2023. in 2023, we 10x our income from the prior year. In December 2023, I was laid off from my career in cybersecurity and went full-time into entrepreneurship and content creation with my husband for our business, along with being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM). Today, we are both working for the business and in a constant state of growth and adding our 3rd child in June!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth whatsoever. There has been times we didn’t have enough money to buy groceries. We even received an eviction letter in Jan of 2023 that was very challenging to receive, especially being a family with 2 kids under 2. Our vision has always been long term but it is was and still can be scary along the way!
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Our two areas that have been most successful and most beneficial financially are our YouTube channel, becoming the Ford, and the Amazon influencer program. Our content is centered around family and relationships. My husband lost his father at the age of 4 from stomach cancer, and I lost my father at the age of 10 to suicide, and that motivated a lot of our content. As we learn to be a family, it shows the challenges, but then it also serves as the memories we wish we had from the little time we had with our fathers.
In this field and lifestyle, it’s very easy to get burned out quickly and and a short run of success. I am proud of the fact that we are almost four years in and haven’t given up, especially during the very challenging times.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
The person who deserves credit is my husband, Avery Ford. he is relentless, and he is very driven toward success. Even in the hardest of times, he has held us up. His optimism is not dictated by his current circumstances and has really propelled us to the success we have today. His faith is unwavering and really rooted in the promises of God. He challenges me to create better and more and to really think outside my realm of possibility.
