Hi Shannon, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Design was just a silent passion of mine starting out with. I would always decorate my own home, and eventually, friends and family asked me to decorate for them, which led to my first paying client, thanks to my sister. From there, it organically grew with the help of my husband, who pushed me to get on Instagram.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey leading up to where I am now has not been smooth whatsoever. I’ve had to fail and learn so many things on my journey that could’ve broken most people. But those bad moments only inspired me to keep learning more about the design industry and keep evolving in my craft.

I’m a self-employed small business operator that designs custom homes and commercial properties. I work on projects of all sizes, but I try to stay true to my desired design style which is of the neutral aesthetic with touches of organic modern.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me means being happy and fulfilled by whatever brings you happiness and joy in life.
