I’ve always harbored a big dream, even while growing up in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas. However, when our family moved to Brownsville, Texas, that dream began to take shape. My aspiration was clear: to further my education and pursue a career in business. Houston, Texas, seemed like the perfect place to fulfill that dream. After relocating and becoming the first in my family to graduate from college, I swiftly gleaned two invaluable lessons. Firstly, I learned that success is a product of unwavering dedication and consistent hard work. Secondly, I realized that the true strength of any business lies in its people.
With a wealth of experience in recruitment and HR gained from previous jobs, I noticed a glaring disparity – exceptional companies struggled to find exceptional employees, and outstanding individuals encountered challenges in aligning themselves with reputable organizations. Drawing from my expertise and inspired by the positive feedback from employees I had previously placed, who expressed feeling valued and fulfilled in their roles, I recognized a significant opportunity. This collective encouragement, coupled with my faith in God, led me to found Oneyda Group, driven by my passion for connecting people with companies that could propel them towards success.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I’m deeply committed to giving back to my community in tangible ways. During my leisure time, I spearhead initiatives to distribute food to those in need across Houston, Texas. This hands-on involvement allows me to directly impact the lives of individuals facing food insecurity, fostering a sense of compassion and support within our community.
Moreover, I actively engage with Conexion Radio 101.7 FM, a Christian radio program where I’m privileged to share messages of faith and hope with listeners. Through this platform, I aim not only to inspire and uplift others but also to provide practical support by disseminating job opportunities and resources.
These diverse experiences have underscored the importance of leveraging my skills and resources to make a positive impact beyond the confines of the business world. I firmly believe that by serving others and spreading messages of compassion and encouragement, we can collectively create a stronger, more inclusive community for everyone. Thanks to God, everything was possible.

Starting my journey in Brownsville, Texas, after moving from Mexico was a monumental challenge, especially considering I arrived without knowing a word of English. Everything seemed unfamiliar, and the absence of a support system made the transition even more daunting. However, in the face of these obstacles, I clung fiercely to my belief in myself.
At the tender age of sixteen, I secured a job as a receptionist, thrusting myself into a world where I not only had to navigate the complexities of a new language but also witnessed firsthand the struggles of Hispanic job seekers. Each day, I saw the pain and frustration mirrored in my father’s face reflected in theirs. It became evident that many needed assistance beyond just finding work, particularly with English translation.
Recognizing the profound importance of genuine care in my role, I made a steadfast commitment to make a tangible difference in their lives. Despite my own challenges, I worked tirelessly, often taking on two jobs to support my family and make ends meet in this unfamiliar environment.
My journey was not without its share of setbacks. Navigating through a male-dominated industry demanded unwavering mental toughness and resilience. Yet, each obstacle served as a steppingstone, propelling me forward on my path of personal and professional growth.
In retrospect, my journey from Mexico to Texas has been one of profound transformation. It has instilled in me an unwavering commitment to empathy, service, and resilience, qualities that continue to guide me as I navigate the complexities of life in the United States.

As the Owner and President of Oneyda Group, my primary role is to uphold the vision and purpose that I initially committed to. This entails maintaining high standards, fostering a healthy work environment, and nurturing a culture that prioritizes the success of others. Specializing in talent acquisition and optimal job placement, I dedicate myself daily to ensuring the right fit between applicants and positions.
Looking ahead, I plan to train recruiters who share my passion for empowering others. Unlike typical “body shop” temp agencies that prioritize speed over quality, we at Oneyda Group go above and beyond to thoroughly vet applicants and job offerings, guaranteeing successful placements. Each one has their own story and dreams, and knowing we can play a part in making those dreams a reality is beyond rewarding.
