Meet Eric Cowdrey of Dynamic Munitions in Katy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Cowdrey.

Eric, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I wanted to bring manufacturing back to the United States. As a US Army veteran myself I wanted to use this same opportunity to help my fellow service members. It can be difficult to make the transition from Military to the civilian workforce. I was hoping by starting this company I could bridge the gap and assist where other government agencies had fallen short.

I built AR’s as a hobby and did significant research to find any area where we could make quality rifles and still be affordable. Our rifles are manufactured by veterans and we utilize their military training and apply it here keeping the corporate office structure as far away as possible.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Brand awareness is a challenge, being the new guy is never easy and we find ourselves competing against brands that are household names. We are currently fighting for our space in the government contract arena. It has been difficult but we have a great group of Veterans in the office that are all dedicated to seeing this venture succeed.

Dynamic Munitions, LLC. is a veteran owned and operated Type 10 Manufacturer. We specialize in precision rifles and ammunition using only premium parts and accessories for a perfectly functioning platform. Dynamic Munitions is where affordability meets quality.

Our owners and staff are committed to providing opportunities for veterans and their families. The office reflects several military sectors providing a culture rich in camaraderie and collaboration.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Starting this company has been a learning experience in itself. We have learned and grown with every mis-step, it makes us better and helps us grow as a company. I have very little to regret when it comes to Dynamic Munitions. I am surrounded by talented people who share the same goals and that is what makes us great.
