In the midst of the uncertainty and challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, a spark of inspiration ignited within Miyosha and Jacie Weston, two driven individuals with a shared dream of entrepreneurship. It was September 2020 when the seeds of their vision were planted amidst discussions and brainstorming sessions amid the backdrop of a global crisis.
As they navigated through the complexities of their corporate careers, Miyosha and Jacie found themselves yearning for something more – a venture they could call their own, a business where they could pour their passion and creativity into. By February 2021, what had started as mere conversations and musings had blossomed into a clear and compelling vision – the birth of My Famous Daiq’s and Dogs.
With a shared determination and a relentless pursuit of their dreams, Miyosha and Jacie set out to turn their vision into reality. They meticulously planned and prepared, pouring their hearts and souls into every aspect of the business – from crafting unique daiquiris and margaritas to curating a menu of gourmet chili hotdogs that would tantalize the taste buds of their customers.
Finally, on May 1st, 2021, My Famous Daiq’s and Dogs opened its doors to the public, marking the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and unwavering belief in their vision. Located in the vibrant community of southeast Houston, the establishment quickly became a beloved local hotspot, drawing in crowds with its innovative drinks and delectable offerings.
For Miyosha and Jacie, the journey of entrepreneurship has been nothing short of exhilarating. Balancing the demands of their corporate careers with the joys and challenges of running their own business, they have found fulfillment in pursuing their passions and making their dreams a reality. With two children cheering them on from the sidelines, they continue to live the dream, inspired by the journey they have embarked upon together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey of My Famous Daiq’s and Dogs was not without its obstacles. As Miyosha and Jacie Weston embarked on their quest to bring their vision to life, they encountered numerous challenges along the way. One of the most daunting hurdles they faced was the search for the perfect location to plant their seed.
With a clear vision in mind and a passion for their craft, Miyosha and Jacie scoured several cities in the surrounding areas, determined to find the ideal spot for their venture. However, the process proved to be more challenging than they had anticipated. They encountered various obstacles, from limited available spaces to zoning restrictions and lease negotiations.
Despite the setbacks and frustrations, Miyosha and Jacie remained steadfast in their determination.
