Meet Gage Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gage Davis.

Gage Davis

Hi Gage, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
While serving in the Coast Guard, I got my first tattoo out of a Sailor Jerry flash book in Honolulu. I immediately fell in love with everything tattooed and, after some trial and error, landed an apprenticeship a couple of years later. Due to the nature of the military, I moved around a lot until settling in Houston where I was able to complete my apprenticeship.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There were many bumps in the road. But all those bumps lead me to where I am today, which is a better version of myself, so I’ll pass on the opportunity to complain and say if you really want something in life, you’ll make it happen no matter what.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a tattooer at Noble Street Tattoo in Spring, TX. I specialize in happy clients and enjoy the various things I get asked to do. My favorite style to work in is my own take on traditional or neo-traditional. I’d say the thing that sets me apart from others is my versatility and hustle.

What matters most to you? Why?
The only thing that matters to me is that I’m giving whatever the best I’ve got for that day is from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep. At least you always know you’re trying, even if it isn’t always enough. That sounds sad, but basically always pushing to be better for myself and my family.
