Hi Tawanna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I began my journey by honing my skills in an always-evolving entrepreneurial field, whether that’s business, entertainment, or any other area as a Houston Entrepreneur. Along the way, I’ve encountered challenges but remained determined and resilient.
Through hard work, perseverance, and, of course, some mentorship and support, I’ve been gradually climbing the ladder of success to reach where I am today.
My story has been a constant testament to the power of determination, skill-building, and seizing of various opportunities.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s rare for any successful person to have a completely smooth journey. I’ve faced challenges such as setbacks, failures, and even discrimination or barriers related to my identity or background. These struggles included financial difficulties, balancing work and personal life, dealing with competition, as well as overcoming self-doubt. However, I have maintained ability to navigate through these obstacles with resilience and determination that has ultimately led me to where I am today.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for my groundbreaking work in business and entertainment, where I specialize in business management, operations, and administration while also being an actress and model.
I am renowned for my business of 6 years called Mrs. Houston’s Avon, my debut as lead actress in the short film titled “Anger Management” directed by Robert Tartell, and Model Director of BBManagement.
What sets me apart is likely my innovative approach, my commitment to excellence, and my ability to bring unmatched energy to all I do.
As for what I’m most proud of, it’s simply being a mom while I pursue my passions and having God to give all the honor and glory to.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the business and entertainment industry, several trends and shifts are likely to unfold over the next five to ten years.
Some trends and shifts that I plan to watch out for include:
Technological Advancements & Digital Transformation – I believe both industries will continue to undergo digital transformation, with an increasing emphasis on online platforms, streaming services, and e-commerce. Traditional business models in entertainment, such as movie theaters and cable TV, may also undergo significant changes to adapt to digital consumption habits,
Shifts in consumer behavior such as Content Creation and Distribution – The demand for diverse, high-quality content will remain high, driving competition among content creators and distributors. Streaming platforms will continue to invest in original content production, while businesses will explore new ways to engage audiences through content marketing and storytelling, and Regulatory changes – for example, the rise of remote work continuing to reshape the business landscape, with companies adopting flexible work arrangements and virtual collaboration tools. In entertainment, remote production techniques may become more prevalent, allowing for greater flexibility and cost savings in content creation, etc.
Additionally, I believe the rapid financial changes in the economy can to have significant implications for the business and entertainment industry in several ways, such as currency fluctuations and business innovation.
My ability to adapt to these changes and stay ahead of the curve will be crucial for my continued success in the evolving landscape of the business and entertainment industry. Adapting to these changes requires agility, strategic foresight, and a proactive approach to managing financial risks and capitalizing on emerging trends.
