Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea montoya
Hi Andrea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story started right off in high school when I decided to start Cosmetology School. I had a strong passion for hair in the beginning, but once I started learning more about nails I knew this was for me and felt motivated to learn more. I then graduated as a cosmetologist and knew I wanted to specialize in nails to pursue my career. Along with my passion for nails, I also became a nail instructor which allowed me to share my knowledge and help students get their license to become successful in the beauty industry.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, I feel like there’s always that struggle of growing clientele and also on a personal level. Although it was really difficult in the beginning, I am proud of my self for not giving up and still wanting to grow bigger and better version of myself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in full sets, overlays, and pedicures. Aside from my personal career, I am also a manicurist instructor. I love being able to become a strong influence to students in making them feel confident with themselves and their work. I have such a strong passion towards my students in helping them build their confidence up and prepare them for their state board exams to obtain their state license. I feel proud for helping others and being able to share my knowledge with them. There’s always room for learning and growing and often times it’s hard to find individuals who have the skill to teach others in way where they’re leaving a huge impact on their students.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
At a young age, I was always able to uplift others as well as easily connect with people and make new friends in general. I was never afraid of voicing out my thoughts and ideas. I have always been interested in learning new things and being able to perfect what I know in order to grow even more.
