The City of Houston has joined forces with Cityside Homes to introduce NEW affordable housing options via the Affordable Homes Program. This partnership between Cityside Homes and the City of Houston connects the gap between home ownership and affordability within the housing market. Cityside Homes is an award-winning builder whose craftsmanship is guided by the pursuit of excellence, integrity, empathy, innovation and community. Cityside Homes is on a mission to create innovative living spaces that positively impact Houston communities. This collaborative effort marks a significant step towards addressing the need for affordable living in the city, offering 40 new construction homes to Houston families in need. Each family is eligible for up to $130,000 in payment assistance with required qualifications met.
Cityside Homes’ uniquely designed gated communities feature dog parks and are strategically located at two prime locations that are less than 15 minutes from downtown. These new homes start at a low market price of $320k with several floor plans and interior finish packages to choose from.
Two Communities Qualify:
-Fulton Crossing – 64 Dipping Lane, Houston TX, 77076
-Erin Park – 1013 Street, Houston TX, 77009
Qualified applicants have the opportunity to receive up to $130,000 in payment assistance that is deducted from the overall market value of the home. This forgivable loan creates substantial support as it aims to make homeownership more accessible and achievable for individuals and families who meet the program’s criteria.
To participate in the program, applicants must meet the City of Houston’s qualifications.
These criteria ensure that the homes are allocated to those who genuinely need affordable housing options, contributing to a fair and inclusive distribution. Here are some of the qualifications:
-Income Limits – 80%-120% Area Median Income (AMI)
-Debt Limits – 33%/45% ratios
-Credit Score – 620 minimum
-Employment – 2 years minimum
-Savings – $30,000 maximum
The newly built homes under this program reflect Cityside Homes’ signature quality and modern design.
