I started my business in 2019 to create something that aligns with my purpose. Mental health has been a significant focus for me since childhood, so I built a brand dedicated to mental health awareness.
My business provides support, fosters community, and offers knowledge to help everyone improve their overall quality of life and live healthier lives.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
The journey has not been smooth; it has been tough investing so much into my business while waiting for it to gain the exposure it deserves.
Like any business, it takes time, and 100% effort is essential because you never know when you’ll reach the next level. I have reached where I am today by not giving up, remaining authentic and creative, and trusting in God every step of the way.
I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The MHM Collection?
I could talk endlessly about this, but as I grew up, I realized that mental health was not prioritized within my family or community. After giving my life to God at around 14, I knew one of my purposes on earth was to help others. I wanted to help heal minds and let people know their mental health should be prioritized.
As a community and society, we need to do a better job of healing and supporting each other. So, I decided to start my brand called the MHM Collection, which stands for the Mental Healing Matters Collection. My collection offers free mental health resources for anyone needing support and help.
We also provide loungewear tailored to mental healing and certified life coaching for individuals and couples. My brand is dedicated to healing one mind at a time. I believe that when you help someone’s mental health, you practically save their life. That is the impact I know my brand will have in this world.
How do you think about luck?
No, it’s not luck, it’s God. God has blessed me with creativity, purpose, and a desire to help others. He has given me the opportunity to give back and live a life that honors Him. So, no luck has played a part in this journey—only God’s favor and blessings over my life and business.
