Conversations with Michael Sneed

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Michael Sneed.

Michael Sneed

Hi Michael, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story from where I started to where I am now. Has been a culmination of hard work, persistence, expansion, and a constant push to be better every single day.

From a retired professional basketball player to now being the founder & creative director of Sneedie Wonder Productions. A creative content production company that I have grown and built into something special.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I struggled with the preparation process in the beginning, and I also struggled with telling clients “no.” I had to learn about the details that go into preparing for photoshoots, video shoots, etc.

If you are not prepared for the job, it can and will be overwhelming. People will also tend to take advantage of you if you are not well prepared. I would also take on a lot of projects. I soon realized that I must have a healthy work/life balance to remain creative.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create visuals for businesses, athletes, entrepreneurs, and music artists. I specialize in photography, videography, and filmmaking, where I create a wide range of customizable content for brands.

What sets me apart from others is that I have a genuine interest in the client’s vision, their story, and who they are as people. I become invested in my projects. I think it’s important to understand the client and their voice before going into any project. It helps me bring their vision together and create a product that they maybe couldn’t fully see at the beginning of the process.

I’m grateful for the steady growth of my company, which I have experienced in this short time. I think this is due to the genuine relationships I have built with people from all walks of life. Starting from nothing to working with music artists Rick Ross, Dave East, and LaRussell is a blessing. I’m very grateful for all the support I have received to make this company a reality.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
When finding a mentor or networking in general. I would say, put yourself out there more. Go beyond your comfort zone and know who aligns with what you are trying to achieve. Networking is so important when it comes to business.

You can learn so much from others when your energy is genuine. People will offer to put you in arenas that are meant for you. So just keep doing what you love, put yourself out there more, and everything will work itself out.
