Brett began showing signs of stuttering around the age of one and continued to struggle with it throughout his childhood, even with speech therapy. At eleven, his stuttering became more severe, leading his mother to seek additional help. Driven by his aspiration to become a pilot, Brett created his own technique of studying the dictionary to find words that mean the same thing to replace with the words he commonly stutters on. Over time, he mastered his stuttering and pursued his passion for aviation. With a scholarship from the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation, Brett obtained his private pilot license and is now working towards his commercial pilots license.
